and day trips: Concord, New Hampshire, the state capital, is about 17 miles
via I-93; the beautiful "Lakes Region" is 12 Miles via Highway 3; Boston, 75
Miles south on 1-93; and Montreal, Canada a beautiful 4 hour drive.
In Franklin, be sure to visit the home and birthplace of Daniel Webster.
Tilton Academy is located 5 miles from the home, and Proctor Academy is
located in the next town, Andover, just 20 minutes away. Dartmouth College
is a beautiful drive west--about 90 minutes. There is wonderful antique
shopping at the Franklin Antique Market nearby and great shops on the drive
to Laconia in the Lakes Region.
